Madison Isolina is a writer, actor, and emerging director currently based in Vancouver, Canada.

She is of Italian, Belgian, and Chinese descent, born in Edmonton, Alberta. Her fiction and nonfiction has been published across Canada and the US, often featuring ideas surrounding desolation, loss, surrealism, gender, and comedic satire. These ideas translate into her film and theatre making, including experimental arthouse with combined poetics, non-diegetic sound, and attention to production design. Coming of age, systemic repression, mental health, and inner strength are frequently analyzed in her work. She is passionate about working alongside fellow artists, and pushing through outdated barriers with a drive to create truly entertaining work. Asides from her dramatic work, Madison enjoys writing sketch comedy and dark comedy, and is finishing her first comedic feature screenplay this coming fall.

She placed semi-finalist in WIFTV Vancouver’s 2021 International screenplay competition for thriller comedy Bikini Kill, and had her one act dark comedic play, The Better to Love You With, My Dear, accepted into the Or and Ignite! festivals, premiering in 2022. After the release of her first gothic short, Strega, Madison plans to continue to build her directing abilities and tackle longer forms.
