The Better to Love You With, My Dear

Hating yourself, but hating who you love even more. The quasi messed up aftermath of the classic Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, ripped into a bleak reality of how we use relationships and connection with others as a buffer for who we are, and our undealt unhappiness. We can be addicted to someone we know is terrible for us, all while struggling to face choices we made or what we truly want.

Set in Wolf’s disheveled living room, Red comes to Wolf’s apartment, confronting him for the first time after he (in a drug fuelled rage) broke into her grandma’s house, ate her, and then tried to get Red into bed with him. After being saved by the Huntsman, now her new boyfriend, Red’s grandma passed away in the hospital due to heart failure. Wolf and Red attempt to make the messiest of amends.
